Pl. 01 — Akyaka, May 2023
About — N° 02

A forest, a bay, and twelve rooms.

Otel Arın stands just thirty meters off the old coastal road of Akyaka, beneath the pines, within the constant sound of the sea. The bedrooms are designed like rooms in a home. "Misafir" — guest, in the old Turkish sense — meaning one who is welcomed, not merely accommodated.

Akyaka — known in antiquity as "Idyma" — is where Halikarnas Balıkçısı's "Blue Voyage" begins. Boats still leave the same quiet shore for the same quiet coves, the same thyme-scented islands.

N° 04 — Akyaka Notları

Where the day takes you, once you step out.

These are not ads — they're notes from your host. We'll suggest more during your stay.

  1. — Nature 5 min walk

    Azmak River

800m from the hotel. A 30-minute wooden-boat trip across the bluest water you'll ever see. Time slows.

  2. — Food 3 min walk

    Halikarnas Tea Garden

A proper Turkish breakfast under olive trees in the old quarter. Local recommendation.

  3. — View 20 min drive

    Sakar Pass

Drive up before sunrise; watch the bay fill with morning light. Essential.

  4. — At sea Departs from shore

    Blue Voyage

A gulet to Cleopatra Island — half a day is enough; you'll remember it for a lifetime.

— Sustainability

A hotel gives its word;
we put ours in writing.
